Very Minor notching part of the crossmember is required due to bigger piping than the factory header. Without this, the header will vibrate and rub on the crossmember.

Use copper anti seize in the slip joints. They work great and make installation a breeze! They will also make removal easier.

AS WITH ANY SLIP ON JOINT ON HEADER AND TEST PIPE THERE IS GOING TO BE SOME SMALL EXHAUST LEAK AT THE SLIP JOINT WHICH IS NORMAL AFTERMARKET FREE FLOW EXHAUST HAVE LESS CHANCE OF THIS PROBLEM. OFF-ROAD USE ONLY NOT SMOG LEGAL CAN NOT BE USED ON EMISSION CONTROLLED VEHICLE.
